Oakland: Sept. 1996 - May 1999
These are my two favorite photos of me, both taken by Arthur Evans.
Thanks, Arthur! They were taken during my last year in Oakland, after
I'd finished my Master's at Mills and started working as a tech writer. I
think we were just hanging around the House (I shared a wonderful house
with Ian, El and Cliff while I lived in Oakland) one day and Arthur had
his camera, and suddenly he started taking pictures. Glad he did! I'm
especially fond of the one of my hands -- I have odd hands, unusually
small for an adult (even a short adult like me), but they look okay there
against my favorite green skirt, much torn and much mended.
